Reach passive candidates
Show vacancies to teachers who might consider a move but aren’t checking job boards. That reduces reliance on someone finding an advert at just the right time.
We’re researching a way for schools to promote individual vacancies to local teachers, including people who aren’t checking job boards. Schools would choose when to run a campaign and how much to spend. The service is still in development.
A job board relies on the right teacher looking at the right time. Some people who might consider moving won’t see a vacancy because they aren’t actively searching.
When a vacancy attracts too few suitable applicants, schools may need to re-advertise, use an agency or arrange cover. Extra advertising can help, but an annual subscription may be hard to justify for a handful of roles.
We’re exploring a way for schools and trusts to promote vacancies more directly. These are the benefits we want to test:
Show vacancies to teachers who might consider a move but aren’t checking job boards. That reduces reliance on someone finding an advert at just the right time.
Promote a role in the area where potential applicants are likely to be able to work, instead of depending on a broad job board listing.
Set a budget for each campaign, so the cost reflects the vacancy and what your school can afford.
Run a campaign for a particular vacancy without committing to an annual recruitment subscription.
The survey will help us understand whether schools would use this service and what they would need from it.
Choose whether you’d like to receive the research findings, hear about a possible pilot, or both. You don’t need to complete the survey to register.
